This international symposium to be held in 2010 aims to enhance international exchange in geobiological research and to promote interdisciplinary integration of geosciences and biosciences. We hope that such exchange and integration will accelerate the development of the whole of geobiology and earth systems science.more

 INVITATION

Dear colleagues and friends,

The Chinese Organizing Committee, in collaboration with related national / inter-national organizations and research institutes, is delighted to cordially invite you to the first international conference on geobiology to be held in China next year. This meeting offers an important forum in which geologists, paleontologists, biologists and especially microbiologists with diverse approaches and methodologies can meet and exchange ideas on a wide range of topics related to coupling systems between the biosphere and other geospheres. We hope that we have created an interesting program and anticipate that all of you will be eager to participate.
We also hope that this invitation provides a supporting document to help you to apply for a visa at your local Chinese embassy. We look forward to seeing you in Wuhan in June, 2010.

Sincerely,
XIE Shucheng
